Apartment Location

The apartment is situated just two kilometeresfrom the beautiful white village of Benalmadena Pueblo. The beaches of Benalmadena Costa and Marina are just 4km and accessible by bus from outside apt.The famous Tivoli world amusement park and cable car is just two km away as is the busy town of Arroyo de la Miel with lots of shopping,reataurants and bars. For me however the greatest attraction is the nearby Pueblo, just as beautifull as Mijas but not overrun with tourists.Stroll up there in the morning for your 'cortatdo' (spanish wake me up coffeee) or in the evening for excellent wine and tapas in bar coral near bus stop. Lots of other bars and restaurants in village all of which are excellent value.If you have one or two extra glasses of vino, a taxi back costs just €5.The lively town of Fuengirola is just 15km while Torremolinos is 8km. Malaga city is 22km and is really worth a visit. Again lots of good shopping and museums including the famous Picasso museum.

For anyone not familiar with the Costa Del Sol area, the main Airport is Malaga. All airlines have regular services to Malaga all year round from UK, Ireland and most of Europe. The Apartment is just 15km from the airport. The recommended way of getting there for first time would be by taxi which takes 20 mins. For those more familiar with the area, there is a half hourly train service from Malaga city to Fuengirola which stops at airport and nearby town of Arroyo de la Miel (2km from apt) A bus service will take you from there to apt. The train service is really usefull as you can get to Malaga city - which is usually overlooked by tourists but well worth a visit- in 35 mins. The lively night spot of Torremolinos is just 7mins by train while Fuengirolai takes 13mins. Other places of interest include Marbella which is 40km. While public transport in the area is excellent, having a car would be a bonus. There are lots of car hire firms at airport. A discount is available from Helle Hollis car hire company to residents of the apartment. I have found them to be a most reliable company.
